Disneyland

We made our annual September trip to Disneyland this weekend, a place that is just as cool for Mom's and Dad's as it is for brothers.

Brothers

We bought the boys bunk beds so they could still be in the same room, but have their own beds. When they go to bed at night, they are always in their own bunks...but when morning comes, they somehow move together. I know they won't always want to be together, but this time that they have together is really cool.

Camden started preschool this morning. He was so excited! It's a little sad for us, since he is the baby, but he loves going to his class, and seems to have already adapted to school really well. He must be his Mother's child.

Our family visited this weekend! Kari's Mom and Dad visited from Ohio, and her sister and her kids came in from Arizona the same day! We had 9 people in the house, and we all survived. It's always great to see family, and remember how much we are all blessed.

They Will Become You

Colin Painting

Colin was reading a bed time story tonight to Camden and myself. This was somewhat stategic due to the fact that it is part of his actual homework. Anyway, about 23 pages into 'The Incredibles' Camden and I begin to get a tad restless. I begin to tickle his ear, he retaliates by squealing. This escalates until I push it too far. I grabbed his nostrils and began pinching as he exhales. This was quite funny at the time, but nothing could prepare us for what was about to happen. Colin, stops reading on page 23, and promptly looks at both of us. He then says, 'Cut it out, the both of you, or we are done for the night.' Camden and I gasp as we look at each other. Colin gives us both the look, and the slowly turns his head back to the book. We both had heard that phrase many times before.  Colin had just channeled his inner Mommy! Camden and I didn't say another word for the remaining 27 pages. Because we knew, if pushed, he would turn this car right around.

Carter Casa
Here is the first look at the new pile of bricks. We moved in last week. What is great, is that we moved just a few streets over, and Colin was able to stay in his existing school. We had about a dozen friends that helped make the move go quickly and pretty drama free. They moved, cleaned, assembled, it was incredible. We are very blessed.

Aunt Lilla In Da' House
Kari's friend Sarah visited this weekend, or as the boys would say 'Aunt Lilla', one of their favorite parts was being in Malibu, and actually finding a 'Malibu Barbie' buried in the sand...or perhaps that is their cover for actually still having one...
