Kari was able to shoot some scenes for an upcoming short film last weekend. Here is a look at some of the production stills. The film is called "Still Me" and is the story of a stroke survivor. Kari plays the role of the stroke survivor's nurse. As soon as the film is cut, i'll post it, or a link to it. It is being produced by Brookwood Films. Check out more about the film here.

It was a girls night out with Kari and her friends tonight. First, they went to Musso and Franks in Hollywood. The restaurant has been around since the early 1900's...and really is designed to maintain its nostalgia. Kar is sitting in one of the phone booths above. Then the ladies were off to see Wicked, which I'm told was wicked good. The most important thing about girls night out, is that means dad's night in. We wrestled, burped, and broke things. It too, was wicked.

Febrary 1987
I mentioned last month that I wanted to update the "back in the day" page each month. The goal is to look back at some of the best of freestyle routines, that happened in that month back in the day. So I've uploaded a couple of February routines. Rad!

Colin began his first day of baseball practice today for his team the Braves. This is his first team sport, and wow, he did really well. We are very proud of him. He caught several balls, made some great throws, and even got a couple of hits while up to bat. The competiton for baseball in California is very different at this age than what we are used too, but Colin seems to be holding his own. Thank you God!

Swimming

OK, so we are spoiled. I agree. February isn't supposed to be like this is it? Our boys live in a totally different world than we did. But being able to swim, and get some sun in February is pretty fantastic. Unless you are like me, and just swim and burn.

I'm a geek. I admit it. Today, I shot an interview with Marcus Buckingham, the "now discover your strengths" guy.He is a fantastic interview, more on that later. Anyway, because I was already in Los Angeles, I decided to go check out a spot where one of my favorite films was shot, twenty years ago. Two scenes from License to Drive were shot at this school. It is a real Middle School located in Studio City. Now it has been awhile since the film, so I was expecting it to be barely recognizable, but it was very well preserved. I guess you can be the judge. There are some new trees, some new flower pots, but pretty similar. Anyway, I'm not sure why I am so fascinated by this kind of stuff, but I am. It might be because films like this one spoke to me as a kid. It might be because the whole electronic storytelling process is a passion of mine. It might be, simply, that I'm just a geek.

Lazy Saturday

Kari decided to get some fun shots of the boys on a typical Saturday afternoon. Yes, it is kinda crazy that this is the weather in February here. Please don't be mad, just come visit! Anyway, Kari took all of these photos, and "sepia" treated all by herself.
